Buttermilk Glaze

Mix all ingredients and let stand for the hour that the cake is baking. When cake is out of the pan pour the glaze over it.

Royal Icing

In a large bowl, mix all ingredients until stiff. Color and use to decorate cookies.

Irish Cream Frosting

In electric mixer owl, cream butter until smooth; beat in confectioers sugar gradually, then beat in the salt and the Irish Cream. Beat the frosting until light and fluffy.

Glazing Icing

Blend 1 cup sugar & 1/2 cup water in small saucepan. Boil until first indication of thread appears (230 on candy thermometer). Remove from heat. Stir in 1/4 cup confectioners sugar. Basic Buttercream Frosting

In bowl with electric beaters, cream butter until light & smooth. Add sugar, 1/2 cup at a time, beating until mixture is very creamy & smooth. Beat in vanilla & 2 Tbls. milk. If too thick, add additional milk.

Ornamental Frosting

In a large mixing bowl, sift sugar & cream of tarter. Add egg whites and mix at very high speed. Beat till very stiff.

Cake Filling/frosting

Flavour (original recipe used 1 tablespoon instant coffee, can substitute 1 teaspoon vanilla essence etc.) Mix 1/3 cup milk with cornstarch in bowl. Boil rest of milk with sugar in saucepan.
