1/3 c  Shortening
1/2 c  Sugar
1    Egg
1/2 c  Molasses
1/2 c  Water
2 c  Flour
1/2 ts Salt & soda
1 ts Ginger
1/2 ts Each: nutmeg, cloves &
Cinnamon
Easy Creamy Icing

Mix shortening, sugar, egg, molasses & water. Stir dry ingredients &
blend in. Chill. Heat oven to 400. Drop by spoonfuls 2″ apart on
lightly greased sheet. Bake 8 minutes. While slightly warm, frost
with lemon or vanilla flavored icing.
