Chive-cheese Butter

Blend butter, cheese, and frozen chopped chives thoroughly. Shape into a roll on waxed paper. Refrigerate until ready to use, allowing about 1 hour to harden. Makes 1/2 lb of spread. Serve slices of chive-cheese butter on broiled beef or seafood, steaks, hamburgers, chicken halves or quarters, or serve chive-cheese butter separately.

Rose Wine Glaze

(See Cheesecake Tart w/ Fruit.) (Makes about 3/4 cup.) Heat all ingredients in heavy small saucepan over low heat, swirling pan occasionally, until jelly melts and sugar dissolves. Increase heat and boil until syrupy, about 6 minutes. Use in Cheesecake Tart recipe as indicated.

Mock Strawberry Or Raspberry Jam

Boil hard for 3 minutes. Put in hot, clean jelly jars and seal. Let set 6 weeks and enjoy.

Orange Ice Cream

Thaw juice and pour into cannister with vanilla ice cream mix. This is preferable to using fresh juice, since less water is added and the resulting mixture is richer.

Mousse In A Minute

Prepare pudding mix as directed on package, using 1 1/2 cups milk. Fold in whipped topping (Cool Whip) and spoon into dessert dishes. Garnish with additional Cool Whip. Great with any flavor of Jello Instant Pudding.

Frozen Fruitcake Salad

Mix all together well, turn into a mold and freeze. Let stand 10 minutes before serving. Everyone loves this. Its good for dessert too. Its especially pretty at Christmas because of the red and green cherries but we like it for Thanksgiving too.

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Melt the oleo and mix with sugar and cocoa. Add the rest of the ingredients, finally stirring in the chopped nuts. Pour into a 9×13-inch greased and floured pan. Bake 30 to 35 minutes.
