Ingredients:
1 1/2 c  Cornmeal
1/4 c  All-purpose flour
2 ts Baking powder
1/4 ts Baking soda
1 ts Salt
1 c  Buttermilk
2    Eggs, beaten
2 tb Shortening, melted

Combine cornmeal, flour, baking powder, soda, and salt; mix well. Add
buttermilk and eggs, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Stir shortening into batter. Heat well greased cast iron corn stick pans in
a 400 degree oven for 3 minutes or until very hot. Spoon batter into pans,
filling two thirds full. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until
lightly browned.
